What services do we offer?

Workplace Suite is a collection of services Third Octet offers to help businesses create and manage a modern, productive workplace environment.

What services do we not offer?

We believe our services are holistic and applicable to most SMBs in today’s Canadian landscape and we stick with the packages we’ve curated. However, we are flexible and look to develop lasting and mutually beneficial business relationships. While our packages tend to be our recommended approach, we are accommodating to the needs of the business. We will work with you to understand your business objectives and mirror to technology strategy.

Is there flexibility in the services we offer?

Third Octet provides core packages to support SMB organizations, with flexibility achieved through add-ons. The core packages are designed to help most SMB organizations and provide consistent support across customers. However, offering too much flexibility can increase costs for all customers and reduce consistency in support. Third Octet believes in being cost-effective and aligning organizations with forward-focused and innovative execution venues like Microsoft.

How do we charge for our services?

Our Managed Services carry different fees – an Onboarding Fee, a Base Monthly Fee, a Per User Fee, and Add-ons. The Onboarding Fee is a one-time fee to address any gaps identified during discovery and assessment and onboard your platform to Third Octet’s standards and operating procedures. The Base Monthly Fee is a recurring fee that covers the services, solutions, and subscriptions needed to manage, support, and improve the core infrastructure functions of your business. The Per User Fee is a recurring fee that covers the services, solutions, and subscriptions delivered to manage, support, and improve each employee’s technology use and enablement. Finally, the Add-ons are elective services that are priced independently from Third Octet’s core packages and can be charged as a recurring base or per-user fee.

Do we offer procurement and managed services?

Yes, we offer procurement and managed services to all customers. We provide procurement of most goods and have a curated catalogue specific to each Customer, which includes what they recommend and require. We also offer managed services delivered through our proven process and are charged based on various factors such as onboarding fee, base monthly fee, per-user fee, and add-ons.

How do we drive customer experience?

Customer experience is our top priority, and we strive to deliver it in a proactive, not reactive, manner. We gather requirements and make recommendations to ensure our services align with your needs and drive business growth. Our monthly cadence and Technology Business Review (TBR) meetings provide regular updates on performance and ensure that we are constantly improving. Surveys are also conducted to gather customer feedback and measure satisfaction. We make a concerted effort to understand your business and its unique needs. Our Customer Portal and enablement programs are designed to provide you with the information and tools necessary to utilize our services fully.

Do we outsource any support to third-party vendors?

At Third Octet, we believe in delivering the best managed IT services to our customers, which starts with a deep understanding of the technologies we support. Our core competencies include Microsoft (Azure, 365, Security, IaaS, PaaS, Infra, AD, OS), Citrix (DaaS), Lenovo, and Cisco (Meraki). We have a highly skilled team of engineers who are experts in these technologies, and they are responsible for providing end-to-end support to our customers.

While we intensely focus on supporting technologies within our core competencies, there may be times when our customers require support for technologies outside of our core competencies. In such cases, we leverage our peer community, known as Trust X Alliance, to provide support. This allows us to offer our customers the highest support quality, even for technologies not within our core competencies.
